Groundwork – There is a God

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Time to lay some groundwork for the future of this site…

There is a God.

The Bible makes no point to try to prove the existence of God. It simply begins, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

That there is a God is axiomatic. It is a self-evident truth. Why? Because a creation demands a Creator. The creation itself is proof that there is a Creator, just as a painting is proof there was a painter, and a building is proof there was a builder.

It’s About Time…

So I’ve finally created a blog.

Who is this guy?

My name is Inigo Montoya…wait, that’s not right. I am Roger Hart. I am currently 33 years old. Husband of my wife Jill, and father of 3 daughters. I’m a sinner saved by God’s grace.

Who cares?

Well, you might care if you know me. On the other hand, you might not care if you knew what I’ll be writing about. That’s the answer to the next question.

What is ServantHart?

The name came about while we were (again) changing our home internet service. I was trying to find anything biblically based that might go with our last name. I wrote down some half a dozen suggestions, and my wife liked ServantHart the best. So here we are.

The Blog is a place to put family news, commentary on current events, and my notes and commentary on the most important book of all time, the Bible.
